Who is this course for?

Fire Wardens i.e. those personnel who have been given fire marshalling responsibilities in an organisation.

Course Content:

For Fire Wardens to learn what to do and how to manage people in an emergency or fire situation. The course runs for 4 ½ hours and the modules are: 

• Fire Legislation
• The common causes of fire
• The behaviour of fire
• Fire prevention
• What to do if fire breaks out
• How to use fire extinguishers
• Emergency evacuation procedures (can adopt the procedures for your premises)
• Safety features within buildings
• How people react in fire situations
• Your role in the event of a fire
• Safe evacuation and fire assembly

Assessment and certification

Learners will be assessed by means of a multiple choice examination. On completion, individuals will receive an accredited certificate.
