Bridging the Gap (BtG) is an initiative designed to train people in security for major events, with a view to providing a trained and experienced workforce to help support the security provision at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Colleges across the UK are offering the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision and Level 2 Award in CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance) which give students qualifications developed with and recognised by the security industry. The courses equip students with the necessary skills to be guaranteed an interview for a paid security role at London 2012 Games.
