The organisation will lead the way in setting a new skills agenda for the sector, aimed at increasing security related vocational education and training and raising the skills and professionalism of the sectors workforce....
	"Bridging the Gap", is an initiative designed to train people in stewarding and security guarding at major events, with a view to providing a trained and experienced workforce to help support the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The BtG project will not only provide opportunities for people as part of that workforce, but combines key objectives for employability, security diversity, and industry/education partnership. When the Games come to a close, it is hoped that BtG will continue to bring thousands of recruits into the security industry.
	The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) is a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Right Management, who are a global career development and outplacement specialist. The CTP provides successful resettlement for those leaving the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and Marines. They also operate as an intermediary service for employers wishing to hire Service leavers. To date, they have assisted over 160,000 Service leavers with the transition to civilian life and supported thousands of organisations looking to employ ex-Service personnel. a1 has now been approved as a training provider for this partnership.
